Mia Lastrella is an American screenwriter, director, actor, and producer based in New York City. She has Bachelor of Arts in Film and Screen Studies with a minor in Arts and Entertainment Management from Pace University. As co-founder of Western Star Entertainment Group, a production company based in NYC, she creates stories for sustainable, female empowered, and educational markets.
She is best known for her writing and directing projects, Just One Thing (Feat. Alysia Reiner) Wake Up, Mistaken Identity, and Strangers. She recently directed the award winning group, Frequency A Cappella, in their debut music video. As an actor, she has trained professionally under acting coach Shelly Cole. She found success at the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA), winning awards for 1st Runner-Up Young Adult Female Actor of The Year, Best Cold Read, Best Improv, and Best T.V. Beauty.
In her spare time, Mia works as an accredited film and photography intern for the non-profit organization, Shop Repurpose, and as a film studies teaching assistant at Pace University. She is currently developing her first novel.
